Sorry for the stolen slop.
Sorry for the stolen slop.
What the heck is the origin of this meme template? And am I the only one who thought this was Roger Stone?
Oh believe me, I wasn’t praising the US. I think “burn it down and try again” is becoming a more viable option for political reform every day.
But no country on earth should have a law that can be interpreted in such a way that a citizen can be charged with terrorism for holding a camera. That’s not “more strict,” that’s runaway oppression.
It is never illegal to film cops in the US unless you are breaking another law in order to do it (ex: filming their tiny peepee by zooming into their bedroom window). If they are in public or in any private place where you are not trespassing, you can film.
What insane place do you live in that holding a camera constitutes as terrorism?
Because the teacher is wrong and it’s an idiotic question.
The question asks the child to explain how Marty ate more pizza than Luis. “He didn’t” is not an appropriate answer to that question.
We know that Marty and Louis didn’t eat from the same pizza, because Marty ate 4/6 of a pizza and Luis ate 5/6 of a pizza. We also know that Marty did eat more, because it’s right there in the question.
The only logical answer is that Marty’s pizza is bigger, and so 4/6 of his pizza amounts to more pizza than 5/6 of Luis’s smaller pizza.
The question should have been “Marty ate 4/6 of a pizza and Luis ate 5/6 of a pizza. Explain who ate more pizza.”
That looks like my writing now, and I’m in my 30s.
Fuck you, I won’t do what you tell me.
Always nice to see some love for the Dead in the wild.

Man, I might have to steal that for future platforms.
I thought I was losing my mind reading your comments.
The title got me even more than the comic.
Oh good, ads in the comments. Just what Lemmy needs.

You have been in IT for 20 years and don’t understand this? Has your career not made it abundantly clear that the average person is completely computer illiterate and has no idea what AI even is? How many people have you had to assist in 20 years who insist that they have tried every possible solution, only to find out that something isn’t even plugged in or turned on?
I don’t think they misunderstood the context. The user is saying that while the broader point she is making is correct, specifically saying we didn’t have to worry about grocery prices under Biden undermines the message.
That is the goal in a functioning democracy. That description no longer applies to the US. Our country’s voter base is made up of political illiterates, our new voters get less educated every year, and our elected officials and their oligarch counterparts are running at full tilt in an attempt to normalize and formalize flagrant disregard for our constitution.
Aren’t we all?
