What strawman? I’m talking about my old phones in my drawer, and I’m certainly not the only one who does that.

The thing with that is that nobody can get (much) use out of my old phones, because I already use them until they’re broken or unreasonably old - when even aftermarket ROMs like LineageOS don’t get security updates anymore, it’s time to retire that phone, and I regularly use my phones beyond that point.

My last phone broke after about 1.5 years of me using it (and it was already a refurbished device), and my current relatively new-to-me phone only has 2 years of security updates left (also refurbished). I’m probably going to use it for longer than that if it doesn’t break, but that would definitely be a good time to get a new phone if money was no object and I didn’t give a shit about the environment.

The thing is, recycling is clearly better for the environment than having 3 unused old phones in your drawer.

Who isn’t? If the phone doesn’t break, it becomes unusably slow with any operating system that still receives security updates (if there are any, which is not a given). Also, I have my doubts on whether it’s actually possible to reliably delete all data from your old phone as a consumer.

Maybe they think it’s indecent to expose their nipples. We certainly seem to think like that when it comes to women’s wear, see regular bikini tops.

That could look hot with a conventionally attractive belly and perhaps some low-cut pants. Odd choice to not just wear tank tops/undershirts, though - exposing your armpits is huge for ventilation.

I use xfce4-terminal, lxterminal is also good for the same reasons. The nice thing about them is that their configs are very stable (this can be a bit of an issue with KDE, e.g. I recently had to redo my editor themes for Kate because the old ones weren’t compatible anymore), and they save system resources by letting all terminals run in one process. Running terminal windows in separate processes might protect you from crashes, but even though I use terminals heavily I just never have terminal crashes. And they’re simpler to configure than e.g. urxvt.

Siesta would definitely make sense in Germany. It’s not as hot as Spain, but it makes up for it by being very unprepared for summer in terms of architecture and the presence of air conditioners, it’s quite humid and most cities are far away from the sea. Finding an employer who lets you do it is another matter though …

School definitely does, and work does as well AFAIK. I doubt many people would be having dinner at 23:00 if most of them needed to be at work or school at 8:00.
