Doesn’t Android 14 come out tomorrow?
Yes. Or in the next coming weeks at least.
I saw an article today saying Pixel phones are getting it tomorrow. But I suppose the “release date” is when they release the source code for it.
I don’t know about that. The new pixel 8 series is getting announced tomorrow, but I haven’t read anywhere that they will release Android 14 tomorrow. When Android 12 released it also took them a couple of weeks to release it for their older models.
I guess Google hasn’t said anything, but according to a Telus email, Pixel phones are getting it tomorrow.

It’s already a month late from their original timeline. If it wasn’t delayed to go with tomorrow’s Pixel launch then something went deeply wrong with its development.
I know fairphone is not samsung with its large pool of resources. But why does it take so long to release updates. I thought Google had made updates less expensive for OEMs in the past couple of years. Fairphone should focus on reducing the time it takes to update to the newest android release and ideally align itself with android release schedule.
The software development is outsourced to a few people, and Fairphone is not the only project those people work on.
The possible extension to Android 15 is very nice to hear. Late as they are to updating, at least they’re truly committed to long term soft- and, importantly, hard-ware support.

Has someone found where to set/edit the dynamic color yet?Nevermind, found it. Wallpaper, then pick Wallpaper & Style as the app for it.
