    what’s sad is that I’m too afraid of the consequences to stand up for what I believe in :( like I have friends that say they would punch a transphobe in the face, but I held back when someone was blatantly homophobic.

      Yeah, I get like this. I post all the memes in the world about standing up to fascists but if anyone ever said anything homophobic or transphobic to me I just kinda nod and try to change the subject or just walk away.

      I mean I wouldn’t punch them (unless they’re like an actual nazi and I thought I could get away with it) but I try my best to stand up for those who can’t do it themselves. There’s no shame in self-preservation though or even just not feeling comfortable doing it every time. We just need to try to be better today than we were yesterday :)
