I used to sit weirdly too but it was never a problem. I would guess the main problem for people with pain is lack of any exercise. It seems some people don’t even walk anymore, they use those electric boards to move. No surprise their body becomes crap.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas
2·12 days agoAI robots will do most tasks well before another 40 years.
But will that improve or worsen our lives? Probably worsen, since every year keeps getting worse.
America just cares about it’s own interests, and every time I see a country work with them, I’m just waiting for the betrayal to come.
The world is still stupid though and believes that Trump is an idiot, despite him accomplishing his every goal. This place is funny because there are a lot of people here unable to think strategically. They think conflicts between countries are accidents and nobody stands to gain anything. :)

33·15 days agoAgain with the validate. :) Do you get your opinions validated here by random Lemmy users?
About immigration, why can’t people dislike immigration by muslims for example? It’s happening all over Europe and im actually curious why you and others think it’s an opinion people shouldn’t have. Is it because you don’t care about the culture in your own country?
Is it because you don’t think it changes the culture of a country, or that you are fine with the changes?

33·16 days agoWas that a response to me? I definently don’t want to own the discussions. I just said people want to discuss it and Lemmy is not a good place for it.
People will discuss it on reddit. It’s fine. :)
About Sweden, yes it’s a “hotbed” to say the least, the same as in Europe overall. Its not popular with massive immigration but since we can’t discuss that here, let’s not.

1725·16 days agoYou couldn’t have certain reddit subreddits here. For example, I follow r/Sverige which is the political right’s Sweden channel. And they talk about immigration as a major problem. How open would Lemmy be to discussions like that? It can’t even handle different opinions without defederation, downvoting and blocking.
No, i think Lemmy is good for memes and stuff but it can’t handle discussions that adults wants to have.

7·16 days agoGetting rid of the word Artificial huh. May make it easier to make people accept what’s coming I guess.
Super intelligence sounds positive doesnt it. Dystopia rebranded for the schmucks.

Technology@lemmy.world•Meta Now Banning Ads That Promote Feminism: "We have given social media unlimited power and every day we can see how dangerous this is."English
36·16 days agoI think its different in different countries too, so this topic will definently divide people. Depending on where your country is on the feminism scale, it may just have started fighting for equal rights, or it may have gone way too far in the female direction, and started attacking masculinity and pushing down men for doing ordinary masculine things like watching a woman or talking to a woman.
Women don’t stop wanting more control over men’s behavior once they have equal rights. It becomes about controlling men’s behavior so it suits the woman. Things like thinking guys are creeps for watching a woman (unless he is attractive, then its fine). The woman decides if he is attractive and therefore if he is a creep or not.

213·16 days agoNah. It’s more that feminism started as equal rights, which everyone agrees with. But now it’s a hostile movement that doesn’t respect men and masculinity at all. Anyone can see that but they think it’s OK. Who needs masculinity anymore right? :)

28·16 days agoHaha I think so too but Lemmy won’t agree. :)
I’m 51 now and I learned from 25 years of working that wasting time is not a problem for large corporations or governments. Even in smaller companies, they value people being forced into office much higher than employees producing work.
So the conclusion for me is that its just a system to keep everyone busy and conform to rules set by the corporation.
It’s also that so much work is pointless and doesn’t serve a proper purpose for humanity. Things like ads, a lot of office jobs where people sit in endless meetings, and so on.
I think humanity has realized it’s wasting our lives but we can’t think of another system that will work.
Maybe universal income but the downside of that is that it comes with AI and transhumanism, which will remove what is human about humans.

I started trying to run now actually. I hate cardio but it looks so good when people can run and it looks effortless. So I have set a 2 month plan for myself now to get on running machine every second day and do 20 minutes of mixed uphill walking and running.
Chat gpt says I will see results in 2 months, so im hoping for it. :) My goal is to be able to run 20 minutes with no walking.
