  • the craziest thing is how you’ll be prowling around wikipedia and find some entry about an unknown 14th century ruler who was physically deformed and couldn’t string a coherent sentence together.

and you laugh: look at those uneducated, slobby 14th century citizens who went with the flow of things.

then you see an interview with RFK jr. and you wave it away, because even if you notice how much he fits the profile, you think to yourself: “there’s someone in charge who would prevent this in 2026,” and get back to your tiktok feed of blonde influencers in nondescript luxury apartments showing off their morning routine.

"things are normal’, you keep telling yourself. there’s someone in charge who knows what they’re doing–some higher power to guide us.

nah, it’s only _______. but we’re not allowed to say that word.

pizza is one of the things that’s actually beat inflation. look up how much a pizza hut pizza cost in 1995 considering the prevailing wage at the time.

spoiler: a large cheese would cost $30 at menu prices adjusted for inflation.

you just get lower quality these days; it’s the same with so many other items. a pair of gap jeans was the same price in the late 90s as it is now even with a doubled minimum wage in NY.

but dipshits will gaslight you online being like, ‘actually, you’re just being nostalgic and nothing was ever better than it is now.’

  • what’s the difference?

people need to stop holding individuals on a pedestal because of wealth/status.

if i came up with the idea for the first internet payment processor, it doesn’t mean i know jack fucking shit about anything else in life–it just means i had a good idea; it means i was in the right place at the right time; i was there with the right amount of cash to take advantage of the situation.

i don’t care about your opinions on the environment or history or the future of mankind any more than i do the ones coming from the fingers of every know-nothing on social media.

the biggest question is: who the fuck made these people god, or at least the architects of the future, of humanity? did we have a vote on it?

  • i notice this issue whenever i watch new films–everything looks so sterile and uninviting. culture has taken on this showroom/instagram aesthetic that gestures to class but has no character, taste and doesn’t look like anywhere where anyone would actually live; it’s nowhere where anyone sensible would want to live, at least.

calling it minimalistic is disrespectful because that word and style aren’t mutually exclusive.

has nothing to do with being lazy or entitled.

despite all the rugged individualist propaganda, the anti-intellectualism of our culture hinders anyone from attempting anything new and we act like anyone who does is some kind of wizard or supergenius; like with everything else, we act like cooking a decent meal with flavor is best left to the experts.

you can go on youtube–a platform where thousands of expert chefs are spilling their secrets in an easy to follow, step-by-step manner–and easily learn to cook decent food.

but people don’t. just like they don’t learn how to do basic tech shit, like install an OS.

  • leftists always take the wrong stance on shit like this.

don’t get me wrong, i think everyone should have access to clean water.

but, it’s a trope of american culture to call people whiny, entitled pieces of shit–usually the most vulnerable members of society.

    throw it back at them.

my take on his situation is this: “don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.”

he’s some alpha male, huh. i drank dirty water for years growing up in detroit. grow a pair, bro.

  • arby’s has a bad rap, likely because of internet chatter funded by competitors, but they were the first mainstream franchise to introduce the curly fry to the world. this may seem farfetched, but when those delightful arby’s trademarked curly fries hit the street, you couldn’t just go to the local supermarket and buy a bag of curly fries–it was arby’s or nothing. and we loved those funky, spicy, intricately curled potatoes; we were as red with passion as the color of their always crispy exterior.

it became a tradition in my friend circle to indulge in this culinary experiment that would soon become one of the norms of american cuisine; we were pioneers as much as laura ingalls wilder was but our place in history has been paved over by applebees locations serving you inferior fries.

there was an arby’s in my local mall right next to the arcade, and my friend and i would indulge in savory roast beef sandwiches and curly fries, always with a generous amount of horsey sauce for that extra kick you’d only find at arby’s.

without arby’s training a generation of young men/women to appreciate spice, you wouldn’t have dozens of thai/mexican/halal joints in your area in 2026.

this is just something to think about–i’m not bragging or making a huge fuss.
