Does gen 10 use AI? Or are smooth-brained people just calling whatever they don’t like AI-slop these days?

The whole Gen-10 game is AI, including the starter trio and the environment maps. JUST LOOK AT IT, it’s so obvious.

Man, I’m going to need more than “just look at it, it’s obvious!” as pokemon designs have been pretty uninspired for several gens now, and AI wasn’t a thing when those were made. This just looks like typical gamefreak laziness. You have any proof besides feels?

Not that I want to defend Nintendo but Palworld barely even qualifies as the same genre as the mainline Pokemon games, literally the only thing they have in common is that you catch monsters

I think they’re saying it’s Pokopia that’s a “ripoff” but Nvm I’ve seen some gen 10 stuff now, it looks like more of the same. anything nintendo makes lately it’s just animal crossing with a story and a different coat of paint like pokopia. Which is basically what Tomodachi life is too, minus the story and plus generated voices.

Idk if it’s “AI Slop”, but it definitely doesn’t shine like some of the old Nintendo polish used to. But maybe I’m also not their target audience

I think I’m cautiously optimistic after seeing the gen 10 trailer, but at the same time after ZA I’m ready to skip out on it if the direction looks bad.

I just want my black/white remakes so I can be done with this franchise -_-

I think the thing people always forget was that Pokemon was never at the bleeding edge of tech. Don’t get me wrong some of the games did some impressive actions here and there, but they were never at the far front pioneering the way unless it was something pushed by Nintendo consoles themselves (like the 3DS or motion controls).

Not that excuses them, they’re a massive company/IP but they don’t need to do all the bells and whistles to sell Pokemon so why would they.

Ok but there’s a big difference between being on the bleeding edge of tech and releasing games which are borderline unplayable because of bugs and framerate issues to the point where Nintendo issues an apology on your behalf.

Trust me, you do NOT want Black/White remakes. Just LOOK at what happened to the Sinnoh remakes, and Gen 8, and Gen 9, and Gen 10. YOU DO NOT ANT GEN 5 REMAKES, because we all know they are gonna be shit.
