Hello!

I am a new user, and decided to open a new community, based on a popular Reddit communitìy: LetsTalkMusic. I am very passionate about music, and I would love to speak about it in the Fediverse!

The focus here is discussion, not link-sharing. It’s modelled on r/letstalkmusic I suspect.

Imo at least, [email protected] is too generalist, so if an user wants to browse a specific niche, that wouldn’t be a good one as any such posts would have a tendency to be diluted in the feed.

Also, generalist communities are a hit or a miss for engagement from my experience, so a community whose purpose is explicitly for engagement should have a better chance to thrive.
