A once decent forum turned to shit due to the onslaught of new members and nazi loving admins.

So I left Reddit little over six months ago, seeing what it was turning into. Been here ever since. After talking to people here about online communities where I can network with fellow musicians and try and get a little traffic to my work, I swallowed my pride and made another Reddit account specifically for music purposes.

I thought I knew what to expect, but no. Holy fuck, what a cesspool it is. In just the first week I blocked over 50 AI and bot accounts. Every community is polluted. Particularly disheartening is seeing AI shills arguing with everyone who wants them to fuck off. Mods are in denial - they either tacitly permit AI posts or they try to defend their subs against them, which attracts even more AI shills.

The actual humans that are left are not the same quality of personality I got to enjoy talking to years ago. It’s children, adults with the mentality of children, or people who want to fuck children.

It was like visiting a mall that I used to love going to as a kid and seeing the stores gated, and all that’s left are vape shops and cell phone repair kiosks.

Nazis of course
