Nobody is forcing you to watch Donald Sutherland films… oh wait, nevermind, misunderstood the post.
Looking around online it looks like it might be a bug with keyboard dictation. I didn’t find a way to fix it other than rebooting or maybe trying to toggle the setting on the keyboard.
Here’s a link to a thread that’s basically useless but the screen shot looks like it has the same mic icon https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S/Mic-button-displays-on-the-bottom-left/td-p/17377304
my best guess would be to check the accessibility settings carefully? this seems like a shortcut enabled from there, what does it do?
I’m really not sure though if you haven’t messed with them prior. sorry I don’t know more
Have you tried turning off and then on again?
Fixes way more things than it should.
It seems to have fixed it. Now the microphone is not even there with the keyboard

It looks like Firefox’s microphone icon, used to search something with voice (speech to text). It should only appear when writing a search query, so it’s a bug. Try updating, or using Fennec (Firefox fork).
The problem is it appears in all apps not just Firefox.
Makes it sound like it’s part of your keyboard app
I think it is… It is the icon that appears at the bottom when the keyboard is open I have discovered.
Pressing it there doesn’t work either.
FUTO (I don’t give them any money)
It’s likely for activating voice input, but you didn’t give the keyboard app permission to use the mic or something. Usually on keyboard apps there’s a key you long press to get to settings, and you might be able to get rid of it there.
Have you rebooted the phone recently?
