I want to say Russia doesn’t consider it a crime to hack as long as the system/IP you are accessing is outside Russia. No source on that cause Im lazy, so take it with a boulder of salt.
truth. when a girl gets their chance to write their name they stop paying attention to things like dont point it at my fucking shoe.

7·10 days agogotcha. What about assets? Im not an accounting person, but we routinely buy tooling for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Raw materials have costs/value associated with them. How would that figure in?
my kid was playing on a swing in a community park in a neighboring town (an expensive place to live). She found a big baggie of cash, looked like mostly singles, but it was maybe 2" thick. I told her to put it back and not mess with it. Maybe it was someones birthday money, maybe it was some other nefarious source. no matter what I don’t need that in my life, I definitely don’t need my kid dealing with it.

12·10 days agothis is interesting to me. can you show your work? Id be interested in going through the thought experiment as well.
I listen to mostly death metal and my wife is into musicals. Its really not an issue. I have gone with her to Book of Mormon (a musical), she has gone with me to metal shows… actually she used to get me back stage to several (she worked catering). Neither of us is going to choose to play the others music when we are by ourselves, but we can find a little common ground regardless.
Face to fist style.
Its been a while since I listened to this album.
[Verse 1] Always locking the doors to your mind Escaping the reality that surrounds you Using faith as an excuse to kill A sick way of life is now revealed
[Refrain] All the prayers in the world can’t help you now A killer, a taker of life is what you are
[Bridge] Speak no more lies It’s your turn to die
[Pre-Chorus] Preach the good word Speak no more, prepare to burn A justified torture? From this may others learn The life you took A holy death, a grave mistake No changing your mind Your life you should pay
[Chorus] Practice what you preach Your loved one is now deceased Knowledge is at our hands Never to understand [Post-Chorus] Spiritual Healing
[Guitar Solo]
[Verse 2] Blinded by the twisted ways you live Kill for religion, will the lord forgive? Idiocy has stricken your mind A real life hell you will find
[Refrain] All the prayers in the world can’t help you now A killer, a taker of life is what you are
[Bridge] Speak no more lies It’s your turn to die
[Pre-Chorus] Preach the good word Speak no more, prepare to burn A justified torture? From this may others learn The life you took A holy death, a grave mistake No changing your mind Your life you should pay [Chorus] Practice what you preach Your loved one is now deceased Knowledge is at our hands Never to understand

This has been a thing for poor folks for a long time now. once they successfully wipe out the pesky middle class it will be a reality for everyone.
Regarding clothes, the low quality fast fashion makes clothes essentially disposable, so consumers don’t really own clothes anymore also.

Videos@lemmy.world•On This Problem Rational People Do Worse— Two boxes, one choice, and $1,000,000.English
0·2 months agoIsn’t this a question of hubris? The title claims that “Rational People Do Worse”, but wouldn’t a rational person surmise that there is some information/mechanism they don’t have access to that the computer does in order to achieve the success rate claimed? In that case the rational choice would be to claim the single box.
The other factor not addressed is the $1k vs $1m. The calculus changes a lot based on these amounts. If it was 10 bucks vs the chance to win millions? that’s the lottery. if it were $10k it be a lot harder to walk away from that.
As a thought experiment, its a lot easier to say what you think the answer should be, actually making that choice when there is real money is psychologically different.
