I also think most people would agree it would be pretty cool if we could fairly easy add an option for people in a wheelchair to get them walking. Clearly you’d rather they didn’t.

I didn’t end up using them, but I bet it let a lot of people enjoy the game that could have hit a wall in Hollow Knight or people that just couldn’t grasp the parrying mechanic.
These are great ways to describe sports.
zod000@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Games@sh.itjust.works•Hollow Knight: Silksong devs address difficulty concerns: “You have choices”English6·4 days agoSeriously. I love Hollow Knight and what I have played from Silksong thus far, but this elitist “game must be ultra hard and exclude people that can’t do it” shit is and always has been a garbage take as far as I am concerned. Having some sort of option to allow people that aren’t that good or have accessibility issues enjoy the game seems like a fine thing. Having those be optional should in no way prevent people that like the hard default settings from enjoying the game. Maybe have those options disable getting achievements/trophies if it prevents these elitists from enjoying the game knowing that their “lessers” are also able to enjoy the game.

Do they just record the video to a usb drive, seal it in a bottle, and throw it in the ocean or something? Wouldn’t posting it online revoke their hermit status?
Nearly everyone thinks that they are immune, but we’re not, we just recognize some that probably wasn’t targeted at us. As far as I am concerned, the only way to not be influenced by propaganda would be to completely avoid it and be some sort of hermit.
And yet, the movie that came after was worse.
Finally a mod worthy of installing!

I got one for my kid and it doesn’t feel midrange these days. We’ve had both the 2021 version and the 2023 version for different kids and I swear they haven’t improved performance at all since the 2021. It does still have a headphone jack though.
Interesting, I’ve had that sort of thing happen a bunch with my friends when I was younger, but always due to hydroplaning since we were in the south. We never had a specific name for it though, but it also wasn’t as repeatable as with ice and it was rarely intentional.
zod000@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Leopards Ate My Face@lemmy.world•ICE Karen Sparks Major Backlash After Saying She Tipped Off Feds in Hyundai RaidEnglish3·11 days agoI don’t agree at all. Cost is cost. Infrastructure cost does partially away over time, but higher workforce cost and higher materials cost will always be there. Not to mention how volatile the situation is politically. Trump hasn’t been shown to be one that can be appeased once and you stay in his good graces. He always wants more and changes his mind constantly. I think a long term investing in a new plant sounds highly risky.
zod000@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Leopards Ate My Face@lemmy.world•ICE Karen Sparks Major Backlash After Saying She Tipped Off Feds in Hyundai RaidEnglish3·11 days agoWhen you consider the costs from building new plants, having a more expensive workforce, and that the raw materials are heavily hit with tariffs, it might not actually be more expensive to just keep it elsewhere.

As a former gifted student, this kinda tracks because I always felt that half of the class were “weirdos” (now known as neurodivergent) and the other half were repressed “weirdos”. Not sure about everyone being bi, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was far more likely than typical students.
Some of Behringers stuff is quite decent, especially for the price.
