After being canceled this year, the future of the expo looks bleak.

    now that everyone can essentially self-host i don’t really see the benefit of having E3 anymore. i do wonder how Geoff Keighley can keep it going with summer game fest and the game awards, but it’s geoff haha

      Game fest maybe is one thing, but I feel like a live industry award show, a la the Oscars, should have some staying power… given that the members of said industry continue to feel like it means something to accept those awards. But it feels like we’re already at that point.

        right, i don’t think the game awards are going away and i wouldn’t want them to! it’s a great way to end a year

    Nothing of value was lost. I never watched it anyway because I find it just glorifying marketing and being advertised to. I always just waited until E3 was done and just check a list of what was announced. Saves time and I don’t have to see all the cringy speeches or influencers or anything
