Judging from her comments, I’m sure she told him to take the deal and stop fucking over the families of the hostages and the Palestinian people.

Right now, she has no power over the military. After November 5th it will be a different story. I hope the people of Dearborn watched her today.

      I fucking well hope so

I also take some kind of hope in the fact that they met separately; like we’re not saying there has to be any continuity in what Biden’s policy has been to what Harris’s will be if she gets elected.

Pretty sure she needs to be elected first to be sure, since she’d need the presidential veto power to actually stop weapons from being sent

I think still needing to win the election with our fairly war-criminal-friendly electorate is a much bigger deal than the transition away from Biden foreign policy needing to wait until literal election day.

Remember – we could still get the “shoot the protestors” guy. I’m happy if people feel more confident in Harris’s chances but the fuckin world could still end on January 7th. It’s still very much up in the air.

Say we suddenly snubbed Israel hard, what’s the big fear with Middle East security & having a country there who’s buddy-buddy with the US? (was wondering today and seems you might know)

She could discuss that right now is the point I’m getting at. I want to hear what her stance is on this. I’m really happy with her so far and voting for her no matter what but this is one of the biggest issues

      Baby steps

First we say, hey you really have to stop

Then you say, we’ll pause your weapons for a short time if you don’t stop

Then you say hey don’t you want to do this cease fire? It’s a really good cease fire.

Then you say you really have to stop, oh by the way here’s more weapons

Then you have to say you know what you’ve been really good this month about not killing too excessive a number of civilians here’s more weapons

And then the administration changes and the new administration gives a bunch of weapons

Edit: Oh also I’m disappointed that this story doesn’t seem to have seen any discrepancy between US people coming out the meeting all hopeful for a cease fire, and Netanyahu coming out of the meeting and telling the media “yeah dude we’re gonna keep killing until we feel like we’re done, and at that point we’d be happy to cease firing, sure.”

Guys, while he’s in the White House with all these security people around him would have been a GREAT time for the ICC to issue a warrant and for the US to say “well you know we can’t argue with that, law and order and all” and fuckin grab him. Just saying. I know it’s not that simple, you don’t want Harris to lose the election because the electorate can’t let go of their war crimes, but… fuckin live a little sometimes. You got all these security people there (definitely more than Netanyahu brought with him)… give them something really excitement inducing to do for once.

Well for once thing, the US is not a party to the treaty that created ICC, and they have not accepted ICC jurisdiction.

          Oh is that all

Yes yes I know, my theory is pure fantasy, it will not happen. 🙁 For that among like 8 other reasons. But if the anti abortion can dream of the change they want to see in the world for 40 years before making it happen, I can dream about a bunch of marines putting Netanyahu in cuffs while he’s protesting that he is above the law and trying to struggle. Hey, at least they didn’t bomb his family’s home and pour cement in his water supply and give him dysentery. He got off easy.

You are delusional ahahahah. Killing terrorists is us living a little. Also give a fuck if Harris loses. She can’t even get out more than 3 words without having to look down at her teleprompter. That is seriously baffling.

My guy, just as some constructive criticism, I think the “Kamala Harris is awful and no one should vote for her” stuff should be separated from the “Israel is right and should kill all the Palestinians” stuff.

I mean I think it is unlikely that either will produce any type of useful impact on Lemmy, but definitely they will not synergize well with each other if presented at the same time. 🙂

And I think French fries go well with hamburgers.

On a serious note, you can be surprised of the people who use Lemmy. And I will voice my concerns how I please.

“Israel is right and should kill all the Palestinians” stuff.

Well I didn’t say that unless your saying Palestinians are all Hamas then hey, you said it not me.

On a serious note voting for her may be better than project 2025. The problem I’m addressing is I don’t know if I can vote for her with this spectacular performance she gave this afternoon. I mean I am not joking. She could not get out more than 3 words. What the fuck was that? Are people going to suck it up and just vote party even if this candidate looks so damn compromised blatantly reading word for word off a teleprompt. Who is feeding her the words and does she believe them? Because she obviously did not write it sorry to point it out.

You didn’t explicitly say it, you just implied it. As if Israel hasn’t been targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure for almost an entire year in Gaza. We get it dude, you support Israel’s genocide.

There are valid criticisms of Kamala, this is not one of them. Plus none of them hold any water in comparison to Trump.

Living up to your name, Snowflake? Little baby wants to sound tough? I hope your little Trumpypoo gets stomped so hard he full tilts into a meltdown in front of you all. I’d like to see a few of those fragile glass demeanors crack.

For people like this fine fellow, stop being kind and reasonable. Enough is enough. Call their shit out. The literal only thing they are capable of doing is responding with attacks on your character, and weak pitiful attempts at Harris, who can defend herself.

You won’t do shit. People like you get their face pushed in talking like that. I haven’t attacked anyones character here. I’d scribble in Bernie Sanders before I checked trump. At least know who tf you are talking to so it can make sense. Watch the speech she gave us tonight what I say is not false. She literally did not go more than 3 words without pausing and looking at her teleprompt. So justify it however you want. Whatever helps you to justify sheepishly voting party.

Thing is: We don’t believe you. Moreover, you comparing anyone to how Trump speaks and acts is laughable. You also appear to think Bernie is a bad choice.

I’m honestly rather impressed by how far up your own ass you’ve ended up. Shame too, under policies I suspect you’ve supported, getting medical help to get out of there is gonna cost a fortune.

Yes yes I am sure Netanyahu would fight his way out of the White House like Rambo powered only by the strength of his genocide and his 5 man security team or whatever

(I mean, you’re not wrong that the whole thing is delusional. It is a pleasant imagination of what should happen in a just world, but I am not imagining that it is realistic or even close to it in this reality.)
