Running is a very good strategy. In non-stand your ground states if you have the opportunity to run you have a legal obligation to. It means you aren’t in immediate danger.
In a stand your ground state you have the option to run. But if the person shooting isn’t visible then sneaking around with a gun trying to find them is how a good-guy with a gun ends up dead like John Hurley.
