I’m still bummed out that because of the floor battery pack the whole thing is still too tall like a crossover. That thing would have looked absolutely sick had they managed to make it lower.
I personally prefer higher ground clearance because of the terrible potholes and huge dips on intersections in my city. Especially with the battery at the bottom of the car, I want to avoid damage risk to the undercarriage. A crossover aka lifted hatchback would be my ideal design. Not as big as an SUV, but has better clearance than a sedan.
This whole Hyundai/Kia platform is basically crossover SUVs at car height. I see Hyundai Ioniq 5s and Kia EV6s all over my city and they’re basically the same height as Camrys and Accords and Priuses, just with a hatchback type rear door.
It’s actually refreshing that it is not yet another SUV.

Sure, just remove the battery. These EV platforms will be a common skateboard design, so get used to it.
