Fuck all of them.
I’d argue that playing an M-rated game with gun violence and fairly absurd depictions of what is, in real life, increasingly pedestrian and legal drug use doesn’t entitle you to tell your teammates to kill themselves.
Exactly.
Do they at least allow gateway slurs?
I can’t even name my SMG load out ‘smegma’ or my sniper load out ‘shut up Wesley’ so they probably allow half of the slurs.
Im astonished Im allowed to name my loadout ASSAULT considering theres a big Ass in it
In the MW II remake I couldn’t use Assault ar first for my AR build load out but I think they eased up on it after a few months.
I’ve omly played three CoD games and they all have had funny language restrictions for the load outs.
Unless those players were banned for talking about drugs, they have no leg to stand on and should STFU.
This comment section is not what I expected.
You can get comn banned for telling someone to go fuck themselves yet the characters in the game can swear all they want.
I’ve been comm banned for telling someone to kill themselves because they said they were gonna rape my daughter and after I reported them for it “this activity doesn’t go against our ToS” was the response.
If the game is rated m for mature then mature content should be allowed.
I’m not advocating for death threats or shit like that but simply saying fuck in a dm can get you banned.

While in-game characters might swear, it’s typically in scripted scenarios that aren’t directed at people, let alone real people. Trash talking teammates is a whole different can of “swearing”.

Telling someone to kill themselves crosses a boundary. I mean, so did their comment, but you should have left it at the report instead of trying to go eye for eye. Usually they troll and bait you into saying things that you can get banned for.

Maturity in ratings refers to the content of the game. A mature label isn’t a green light for abusive behaviour, but a warning about the content.
That being said, I do agree that bans can be misjudged / unfair when put into perspective.
I’m just saying they can’t expect people to understand nuance when they’re not willing to even consider it themselves. If you’re gonna put out mature content you should expect people to do the same.
Figure out a way to look at the situational details.
again, mature content != freedom to be abusive and toxic
That’s valid.
“Why can’t I verbally abuse teammates if weed is in the game?”
They led with the best tweet
My teammate must know they’re trash, all I said was “kys” and “I’ll r*pe your mom if you die again” this is literally 1984
I love CoD. Haven’t played it in a decade but it’s like a lightning rod for dickheads. I hope it never stops existing.
I agree. It keeps them out of games I enjoy.
Carry on, COD
That and Fortnite are the best games I never played.
A huge chunk of them bled over into HLL when it was released into consoles.
I don’t know what HLL is.
I don’t play a lot of multiplayer games tbh, and the ones I do tend to be cooperative.
Hell Let Loose, I’m assuming. Haven’t played it, but I think it’s a WW2 sim shooter?
CoD is the Truth Social of games
Is that gun sponsored by GEICO?
Well first of all, that’s a steamroller…
