I went to my Senators local offices yesterday, along with a few hundred others. We got one of them to send out a staffer to talk.

What have others here done? What have you got planned for the next few days?

Not in this thread so far, but I keep hearing people say that the Dems’ hands are tied, and that there is simply nothing they can do. As you note, this complete and utter horseshit. Here are four tangible things Democratic reps can do right now to fight this:

      1. Grind the Senate to a halt. Filibuster everything. Put holds on everything.
      2. Not a single Democratic vote for a continuing resolution or debt ceiling increase without major concessions. Namely, completely shutting down DOGE and expelling Musk entirely from the government. The government is better shut down than left running with these freaks in charge.
      3. Participate directly in street protests. Sitting reps are much less likely to be assaulted by police officers, and they have the clout and resources to deal with being arrested.
      4. Do you hear another Democratic rep dare to utter the word “bipartisanship?” Hang them from a lamppost.
