      Yeah people have no idea how these things work.

      He didn’t “step down” as CEO. He stepped up to be the CEO’s boss. Hands off on the day to day management of the company, but responsible for the more long term outlook as a whole.

    Yeah, they announced months ago that Tim Cook was being promoted to Executive Director. That position refers to a head director of the board who is employed by the company.
