    Tldr: steel not titanium. Heavier, so cars need to decrease down force.

    I’ve never seen a grass fire red flag during a race or qualifying. Am I not paying attention or do they water the lawn before the big events?

      It was a big issue in Japan this year. Happened a lot during practice and briefly during qualifying iirc. It didn’t impact the race, but it could’ve. They preemptively watered the grass a ton but it wasn’t enough at certain points.
