    Yeah, having 2 locks makes it so you can’t apply the pressure to a single failure point.

    What makes this technique work is making sure it’s tight AND having the lock centrally located so all the pressure bears down on it.

    With 2 locks offset like that? Probably wouldn’t work. Also probably why they designed it that way.
