It’s still in beta as well, so you need testflight. Happy lemmy’ing
Looks really nice, I love that it recognizes the iPad resolution (unlike Mlem). The thing I’m missing:
- light theme
- multiple accounts support
- iOS link presentation (like in Apollo) https://developer.apple.com/documentation/linkpresentation
posting from memmy 😎
so far I’m really liking the overall theme/look of the app!
ok I’ve been using it most of the day and I think this will be my go-to lemmy app
reminds me very much of Apollo
do you have a specific community yet here?
Memmy is offering better stability over Mlem at this point. Both are lacking features but are in their early stages and show great promise. This post is from Memmy
That was my experience as well - Mlem looks and feels very nice to browse with but the second I post, reply, or upvote, the current version crashes. I think it’s related to slow responses from the server, because when I go back in a web browser, I can see whatever actions I took. Memmy hasn’t crashed on me at all so far. I will continue to test both, as I kind of prefer the “stick with iOS UI language” approach of Mlem but I love the desk mode and hinting at compact browsing that is going on over at Memmy. Exciting times!
memmy dev here. That’s why I’m so excited to see multiple groups working on things! I could never appease everyone with one design, and frankly I find I prefer the one in memmy (well of course right?) over the one that mlem uses. But that’s me coming from using Apollo for Reddit for years. There were quite a few different UIs for Reddit apps as well.
Like I said to someone else, I think that anyone who knows Swift should go over and help out with the Mlem development. They have a great app as well and we all need all the help we can get!
Help, I’m not able to log into my existing lemmy.world account with memmy. Just downloaded memmy to use with TestFlight, and prompted to start an account or log into an existing account. I’ve tried logging into my existing account, but it reports error: ‘email_not_verified’.
