I’ve used RedFox AnyDVD to decrypt encrypted Blu-Rays in the past, but now the trial key is tied to you system’s hardware. Simply reinstalling the OS will not work. I tried using MakeMKV, that did not work. What do people use to decrypt Blu-rays?

I would try to use a vm. I don’t know much about blu-ray but that should hide your hardware pretty well. You could try something qemu based for hiding it completely.
