ā€œThe resolution suggests that all anti-Zionismā€”it statesā€”is antisemitism. Thatā€™s either intellectually disingenuous or just factually wrong,ā€ said New York Representative Jerry Nadler, who voted present. ā€œThe authors if they were at all familiar with Jewish history & culture should know about Jewish anti-Zionism that was and is expressly not antisemitic. This resolution ignores the fact that even today, certain Orthodox Hasidic Jewish communities ā€¦ have held views that are at odds with the modern Zionist conception.ā€

given that almost all jews support zionism, I donā€™t really get why people stress making this huge distinction.

Well you see, if they donā€™t support Zionism theyā€™re not real Jews!

Iā€™m guessing the opposite. Iā€™m guessing itā€™s ā€œJews are evil and they all support genocide.ā€

And considering, as Nadler pointed out, that there are Orthodox communities in the U.S. which are and always have been staunchly anti-Zionist, thatā€™s not even true from Israelā€™s inception.

Not only that, but a huge contingent of Zionists are not Jewish, and are pretty damn anti-semetic. Thereā€™s a strain of it that wanted to kick Jews out of all other countries.
