Evolutionary it doesn’t necessarily seem advantageous, and yet a lot of animals just do stuff because it’s fun. Maybe the advantage is training or something.

I like how playful behavior seems te be present in a lot of animals. Evolutionary it doesn’t necessarily seem advantageous, and yet a lot of animals just do stuff because it’s fun. Maybe the advantage is training or something.
This (training/learning/exploring) and socialising are the main benefits imho.
It does have advantages, like building coordination, building strength and endurance, and bonding with pack members.
