Are Nordic model leftists supporters of Authoritarianism? That’s the key part.

Do they think a dictatorship is a good idea?

Or do they excuse or deny a genocide because the people doing it are opposed to the US?

Chompsky has done both, but the denial of the Cambodian genocide of Pol Pot is something that Chompsky has never really walked back from.

Are Nordic model leftists supporters of Authoritarianism? That’s the key part.

Yes. Absolutely. By definition. By any leftist definition, the Nordic states are undeniably authoritarian. They are literally capitalist! The fact that you are even asking this is absurd.

Do they think a dictatorship is a good idea?

Yes, they think the dictatorship of capitalist class is a good idea. Again, this is undeniable by any leftist definition.

Or do they excuse or deny a genocide because the people doing it are opposed to the US?

Given that nobody does this, apparently there’s no such thing as a tankie. Or are you just trying to slip in a blatant strawman?

      Chompsky has done both

You listed three things, you illiterate dipshit.

      Pol Pot

      opposed to the US

      You absolute fucking dumbass.

Okay, you know nothing. Can’t count, and think that democratic socialists are authoritarians. Which is wild. Democratic socialism is the path to actual communism. Leninism is simply authoritarianism in a red coat. Seriously, the guy ignored an election that his party lost (November 1917), and then jailed and executed the winners, who were actual communists.

        Also,

The Khmer Rouge, the communist party led by Pol Pot, came to power in 1975 during the Cambodian Civil War, which was linked to the Vietnam War. They defeated the Khmer Republic, who were heavily supported by the U.S., including a massive bombing campaign against the Khmer Rouge until 1973. North Vietnam, who had many soldiers in Cambodia, and China were the primary backers of the Khmer Rouge during the civil war. Between 1975 and 1979, the Khmer Rouge perpetrated the Cambodian genocide, which killed between 1.5 and 2 million people, nearly 25% of Cambodia’s population.[8] During the genocide, China was the main international patron of the Khmer Rouge, supplying “more than 15,000 military advisers” and most of its external aid.[9]

Now, things changed a bit after Vietnam invaded Cambodia. (due to the Khmer Rouge attacking Vietnam.) Both China and the US were at odds with Vietnam, to the point where China invaded Vietnam. The US (and China) voted for the Khmer Rouge to keep Cambodia’s UN seat, and the US, being ever willing to work with monsters, secretly (and I can’t stress that word enough) worked to bolster Pol Pot against Vietnam.

Imagine thinking “how can you possibly think capitalism is authoritarian! That’s absurd! You clearly no nothing” was going to be a compelling argument to anti-capitalists.

Seriously, another prime example that “tankie” is just a pejorative for anyone left of Elizabeth Warren
