The former chairman of the Wisconsin Republican Party said Sunday he was ātrickedā into signing documents alleging former President Trump won the 2020 election as part of the stateās āfake electorā scheme.
Andrew Hitt told Anderson Cooper in a ā60 Minutesā interview that he was advised by the state GOPās legal counsel to sign the documents as a contingency, in case the Trump campaignās legal case against Wisconsinās election integrity succeeded.
Hitt said he āwasnāt comfortable withā Trump campaign attempts to toss out votes in Wisconsin, and that he didnāt believe the legal claims of widespread fraud.

Sounds like some lawyers, who are supposed to uphold the Constitution as part of their job, need to have a review by their stateās bar committee.

Youāre not wrong, but you do still have to swear an oath to uphold the constitution. Also, the bar exam doesnāt test your ethics, or even your ability to practice law. It tests your ability to memorize a ton of shit youāll never use in your actual practice. Maybe it was useful once upon a time before every lawyer practiced in a specialized subset of law, but mostly it was made to stop people of color practicing law. It really needs to be reformed, though I would actually be in favor of abolishing it and having the third year of law school be reformed into an apprenticeship model where you learn directly from an experienced attorney. Or a specialized bar exam that tests for the area of law you want to practice. Something needs to change about it.
Iām getting off topic. Yes this guy is a fraudster and so is everyone who advised him to sign, but it has nothing to do with whether anyone took the bar exam.

Soooo either heās corrupt or heās incompetent. Either way, he shouldnāt have had his position. A āfuck upā of this magnitude in any company would lead to either a straight up firing, or a rather rapid drumming out.
This is notable because even if heās out, he is certainly not the only one.
