Rlden ring would consistently get ~20 fps on my old computer which I would say had a potato CPU and a good graphics card.

Half of those don’t run on a potato, or your concept of what a potato is is pretty warped.
Factorio even has lag optimisation techniques because even a 3080 will have troubles if you don’t optimise energy generation.
Factorio is usually CPU limited, it runs fine on my i9 with just integrated graphics and no discrete GPU at all.
