I realized the hypocrisy in 2020 how US politicians talked about George Floyd protests versus Hong Kong protests. That was a very formative moment for me.

As the reporting from the ground is showing, these aren’t primarily students either. They’re agitators being paid to cause problems.
Arrest reports have confirmed the media lied and the protesters are primarily students and faculty.
