That’s assuming we’re able to draw the people with answers here into the fediverse, in the long run.

Niche communities happened naturally over time on reddit as well. You need to grow the larger base communities first, since you’ll be gathering the numbers there. Then you branch off. The only other option is for you yourself to build up the niche communities by posting more often, it’s a lot of work.
Adding it to my list?
It is doable with certain length swords and a normal sheath. Link
The Witcher show tried to solved this with an open faced scabbard
This is an amazing scene, I’ve never watched this anime.
Either that or a black hole depending on where you read.
Yeah, movie theaters barely make money from actually playing movies. It’s another reason why selling alcohol started getting more popular at movie theaters.
Only war crimes are accepted as payment in a post calamity world.
And a lot of those people arrived when those communities were already built up on reddit.
This seems to be a type of post that keeps popping up more and more. Some people are venting and mourning their loss of reddit, which I get… but others have a sense of entitlement, of wanting to have things without needing to work for it. They want someone else to put in the blood, sweat and tears and be the ones to reap the benefits.
Imagine pilgrims coming to early North America and no one wanting to participate once they arrived, because no pre-built cities exited? We wouldn’t have a country in the US (though I’m sure that must have been the attitude of some)
This is usually how it goes. The larger communities keep growing until they can branch off into the more niche ones.
I see this a lot too and to me it mimics the 7 stages of grief. It sounds like he just passed anger and is at bargaining.
I think if most of the reddit transplants (myself a transplant) can’t arrive at acceptance, they end up going back.
Oddly enough. The first place I saw this was 3yrs ago in a reddit thread on /r/funny, because they said it was only missing a light saber.
These are from 2016, so I don’t think we’ll see this unless some fashion company resurrects the idea.
I honestly wish more stuff that is shown on runways would make it over to men. There’s a lot of fun that can be had. Plain suits are boring, even if you add color to them.
Wasn’t most of the wardrobe early on just their own clothing as well?
I must say, the games is one of the few reasons I still pay for Netflix. But I had a similar reaction when certain games were locked behind Apple Arcade, so I understand the sentiment.
I had to double check where this was posted. At first I thought this was theonion community.
Likely to promote and increase activity people will try to repost what was already popular on reddit. It’s no different than movie studios wanting to only make movies that have preexisting fanbases.
I don’t think there’s much that can be done other than being patient and guiding how things grow. Reddit took a decade to build. Lemmy’s journey will likely be long, but it probably won’t take 10yrs. Solutions to existing problems will happen over time.
Maybe less content is good? Infinitely scrolling is not great, and we all know that. Having limited content on Lemmy allows me to at least move onto something else.
Is it the mantis? I had to use kagi and set it to fediverse for it to pop up for me. On firefox and google it it nowhere to be seen for me.
