  • To think that vein popped because she was promised a helicopter arrival to her party and Anthony didn’t deliver. His coworkers coming in the background and shutting the door to the conference room, giving these two the side-eye while they were arguing sent me. The level of delusion this woman had was next level and I just remember sitting there at the time being like “Is this what rich people are like?”

  • Finally! My time on Lemmy has come! For those who do not know, the phrase “Who Gon’ Check Me Boo?” was uttered by none other than Sheree Spring-Summer-Winter-Joggers Whitfield, of Real Housewives of Atlanta fame, while arguing with her party planner during the Season 2 premiere in 2009. The phrase temporarily shut down the man’s argument, before the conflict then escalated to the point that both were shouting at one another, leading to the iconic vein popping out of Ms. Bone-Collector Whitfield’s neck.

(I know that’s not the point of this post, but the Bravo communities are the thing I miss the most about the other bad place, so when I see a RH reference, I fucking jump on it)

  • I mean, tbf, joining the military IS what made me start looking into the concept of Socialism and what it means.

Is the military socialism? No, us Enlisted have no power and the Officer corps is the “owning class”, but we have good, tax payer funded social benefits that I believe everyone should have access to.

It’s like a gateway drug into anti-capitalism idealogies. If the US is never going to go full socialist (or at least not in our lifetimes), then I think raising taxes and giving everyone TRICARE, VA Loan benefits, tuition assistance, and a pension will go a long way in solving most people’s biggest fears/relieving a metric fuckton of oppression caused by capitalism.

Also, having been to the Middle East and seen firsthand the stark difference of people driving around Ducatis and Lambos, parking in front malls inlaid with real gold, while 10 minutes up the road whole communities had built their shack homes in the desert with random odds and ends and thrown blankets over their windows was…I cant really describe the feeling I got. Dread, anger, immense sadness, just a whole myriad of negative emotions. Couple that with the intense religious fervor that is rampant in the region, and yeah, I have no idea how a military member can look at all that and be like “This. This is what America needs.”

Granted, yes, unfortunately a lot of our service men and women are still unfortunately extremely pro-Capitalism/Trump and Elon Musk fanboys…I just don’t know how.

Either way, my comment got long, but when people start in on the “The Army is Socialist!” Dont be mad. Educate! They’re at the very least coming from a place of “Fuck, we really could make everyones lives better if we give everyone these benefits that we enjoy so much!” And that shows compassion for others, which is something so fucking desperately needed right now.

And its fucking CRAZY how that happened. People can argue that “Beyonce isn’t a country singer” all they want, but her song “YA YA” off the Cowboy Carter album (my favey fave off the album) is an incredible song with just her powerful lungs alone, however, the lyrics are shit that White Conservative Country Music People should eat up:

“My family live and died in America, hm Good ol’ USA, shit (Good ol’ USA) Whole lotta red in that white and blue, huh History can’t be erased, ooh You lookin’ for a new America? (America) Are you tired, workin’ time and a half for half the pay? (Half the pay) Ya-ya (Ooh-ooh, oh-oh) I just pray that we don’t crash, keep my Bible on the dash We gotta keep the faith”

And in a later verse she talks about staying strapped with a pistol on her hip and a Bible in her hands.

Like…this is exactly the type of shit these people literally dream about.

  • True! Some actual info would be nice since this could plausibly be several people it seems.

Drunk brain just lit up last night and was like “The time has come to dispense Real Housewives of DC lore upon the public”.

(And sober brain is like: “Hey Self, Salahi didn’t run a ponzi scheme from the WH numbnuts, she just crashed a dinner”. So the other person is likely correct, and I posted out of turn)

  • I do! Bailey Sarian is a queen and I did indeed learn about Aqua Tofana from her video on it! I figured it was an appropriate username given the rise in redpill content/choices that certain governments have made in recent times, haha.

I saw the other post you made of your kitty chilling the other day as well! Tell her I’m a huge fan, and I’ll always upvote pictures of that cutie!

  • John Brown called it out at his trial pre-Civil War.

For those who are unaware, he was a white abolitionist who facilitated a slave rebellion in Harper’s Ferry, WV. He was caught and ultimately executed for his “crimes”, but at his trial he basically said if he had done the same thing for the rich and powerful, he’d have been lauded as a hero, but since he did it for the poor and enslaved, he was branded a criminal.

Relevant Excerpt: “I have another objection, and that is, that it is unjust that I should suffer such a penalty. Had I interfered in the manner, and which I admit has been fairly proved, – for I admire the truthfulness and candor of the greater portion of the witnesses who have testified in this case, – had I so interfered in behalf of the Rich, the Powerful, the Intelligent, the so–called Great, or in behalf of any of their friends, either father, mother, brother, sister, wife, or children, or any of that class, and suffered and sacrificed what I have in this interference, it would have been all right. Every man in this Court would have deemed it an act worthy a reward, rather than a punishment.”

I highly recommend people read his full speech if they haven’t. Pretty powerful stuff from a man who wanted the right thing done but wasn’t going to wait around for others to do it for him.

But yeah, America has been owned by the rich and powerful since forever.
