I would say you’re for the most part correct but we should all be very well aware of the dangers of our anthropomorphizing of animals. These negative reactions in the public tend to lead to horrible things being done to organisms like sharks and bugs that are important to their ecosystems and the world as a whole.

Projecting human standards of life and morality onto other organisms is inappropriate and a net-harm for both humanity and animals. People doing this behavior would do well to be reminded of how most of their favorite animals like cats, dogs, ducks, goats, etc. reproduce in ways that would be considered absolutely horrifying to our human cultures.

  • The idea that we were warmongers was made up to justify stealing our land. Who was it that welcomed the colonists with open arms until they spat in our ancestor’s faces? Our stories talk about war parties going out and coming back home with zero blood shed. What conflicts we did have were extremely low intensity, we didn’t have the numbers for the horrific wars like the ones waged against us by the colonists.

Many of the tribes were nomadic, we didn’t have oil reserves to war over. We had hunting grounds and fishing spots and art, and just about everyone agreed that these things weren’t worth dying for.

  • Tell me why he looks like Winnie The Pooh without saying it’s his eyes and skin. It’s entirely impossible to defend the racist caricature because Winnie The Pooh has like 4 distinguishing features and half of them are applied only because the man is Chinese. There are no deep insights to be found in a 2D character. Winnie The Pooh doesn’t have the same amount of forehead wrinkles, he doesn’t have the same curve on his nose, his ears aren’t even similar. So what features of Winnie The Pooh makes you believe he looks like Xi Jinping?
