  • That’s one guess. Here’s another:

There is an old adage that says, “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication,” and pigeon nests are the perfect example of this philosophy in action. Even before humans urbanized much of the world, pigeons were never big nest builders; they utilized natural roosts, favoring pockets in the sides of cliffs. With the rocks providing ample area to roost and incubate eggs, all the pigeons needed to do was to place a couple of twigs around the egg to keep it from rolling away. As cities grew in the wake of industrialization, pigeons adapted to use concrete structures in place of these natural cliff roosts, still sparing them the effort of building a complex nest.

  • If you hit an airplane they will try very hard to track you down. If you hit too many cameras they will probably try to find you, too. They will use your purchase history, social media post history, and location, for instance. So, best to buy the laser somewhere far from where you use it, AND pay cash if you can.

Not that I recommend this, but if you want to try, be smart about it. And, be careful.

  • Of course, and because of that he would never win an election, because people won’t vote for him because “he’s too old”. Like I said, I don’t care about his age, or that he would likely die in office, perhaps even in the first year. I’d still vote for him, because I agree with him, and I want his ideas in that office. That’s why he’d need a good V.P. I don’t understand why anyone would care how old he is, as long as they agree with him. Is it because he would probably die in office? Why does that matter?

I don’t care about Trump’s age per se, I do care that he’s got dementia. Bernie doesn’t have dementia.

Anyway, it’s a pipe dream, and I’ll happily vote for one of his protégés, too.

  • It will almost certainly be found, and probably sooner than you expect. That’s my guess.

Nothing digital, you can’t know what tech will be available. Pictures and stories of your every day life with plenty of detail, plus what you think the future will be like, again with plenty of detail–everyone likes to laugh at how wrong we get this, and the occasional thing we get right. Handwritten would be best. The further back in the past, the fewer details we have of everyday life. Only the official records survive long term, and that is “written by the victors”, so to speak. One of the most interesting things we have from the past is the complaint about a copper shipment. It’s interesting because we can all relate to that.

  • I once had the experience of confusing a past dream for a real memory. About a week after what turned out to be a dream, I wanted to talk to my girlfriend about the argument we had. The realization that it was a dream I had fully confused with a memory sent me into a spiral for a while. How could I know which of my memories were actually just dreams I’d never discovered? I decided the only thing I could--that I couldn’t know, and should stop fretting over it.
