I don’t think the article was trying to imply that they weren’t already in use in electric cars, just that they would be better for them.
I’m going to be moving into a van in the next few years full-time, travelling around Australia and using gyms for showers and, well, exercise. I don’t know if it’s already an issue over here or not, but I sure hope it won’t be by the time I can move out in the van full-time, cause this is one of the best ways of accessing showers without building one into the van.
Hm. The link is actually a video on odysee.com. I’m experiencing no issues on my end, and it’s even letting me watch the video in a miniplayer within Lemmy itself. I’m using LibreWolf, a privacy fork of Firefox, so I don’t know if this is an issue on Chrome-based browsers or not.
Was that the joke? I don’t know if I was misunderstanding, but I thought the loud crow was supposed to be a new Linux user complaining that the few-mentioned easy-to-use distro’s being too many options.
No worries. Thanks so much for uploading it. Glad I reached so many people before the time.
Another cool one is an unofficial YouTube client app called ThirdTube which is pretty cool (and has 3D video playback if the video itself supports it). There’s an emulator for the Virtual Boy called Red Viper which just had a huge update recently, which made every game in the entire consoles library run accurately at full speed (and even the 3D from the original Virtual Boy works too!). You can add custom themes to your main menu with the app Anemone3DS and can make a backup of the save data for each of your games onto your SD card with an app called Checkpoint. They’re all my favourites; otherwise I haven’t explored a large amount of what is on offer still.
No worries. Awesome. Hope you enjoy your newly modded 3DS. I recommend a Homebrew app called FTPD that lets you wireless transfer files to your computer, but if your on a New 3DS or New 2DS, it’s particularly handy because it reduces the amount of needing to screw open your entire 3DS each time you want to transfer files.
Sorry, what I heard about data sticking around after a factory reset unfortunately isn’t true. I’m sorry about that.
Super Mario Bros. 35 😂
But yeah, in all seriousness, I think this is way too soon considering the 3DS was officially discontinued less then 4 yrs ago.
Sorry, I was wrong about data sticking around after a factory reset, this is just something I was told. I’m editing my comment to clarify that.
Thanks a lot! It’s unfortunate this happened, I’m hoping there weren’t too many who tried uploading during this time.
Thanks. Sorry for the hassle.
Hey, just letting you know that there’s less then 33 hrs remaining at the time of writing.
Hey, even though I’m not officially part of this project, I’m sorry to say that at least for the period of April 6, at 12PM to 4PM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time), the maintainer of the server mistakenly didn’t see that the server had run out of storage space. This means that any dumps made by anyone within this time period didn’t actually get archived in the end. The exact amount of time is unknown. This 4 hr period is just the least amount of time the server was down for, so for all he knows, it could have been for the entire day of April 6th up until 4PM in the afternoon (PDT). Again, even though this wasn’t because of me, I’m sorry about this. If you can, could you please make the dump one last time if possible? As the archive servers are now working correctly again. Hey, thanks so much for dumping both of your consoles. Unfortunately, even though I’m not officially part of this project, I’m sorry to say that at least for the period of April 6, at 12PM to 4PM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time), the maintainer of the server mistakenly didn’t see that the server had run out of storage space. I appreciate you’ve gone to this much effort. Thankyou. I’m so sorry if this affects you. Because your message is 13 hrs ago, I will assume that you weren’t affected by this, so you likely don’t have to worry:
There was an announcement on the Discord by the maintainer of the server which the entire archive is stored on. He announced that he’d accidentally not noticed that the server storage-space had run out, from all the dumps being made. This means that for at least 4 hrs, all dumps made by contributors were not being received, even though they thought they had been. Here’s the screenshot of the post.
So the servers were first overfilled starting April 6, 12PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT); and was fixed by the server maintainer at 4:08PM (PDT). However, all he knows is that the full amount of time the server was having this issue was “at least a 4 hrs”, so it could have started some hrs prior to 12PM; it could have even been the entire day for all he knows. I know this is annoying. I’m not officially a part of this project, I’m just spreading the word, but I’m still sorry for you if this affects you. If you think you made your dump within this time period, you will need to make the dump again. Otherwise, if you made the dump prior, but on the same day, it might be worth re-dumping, because your original dump may have not actually properly uploaded due to this mistake on the server-owners part.
Please forgive me. That information was wrong, the data does not stay after factory resetting. I’m editing my comment to clarify this.
Take my word with a grain of salt, but as far as I understand with my limited knowledge, you do not own the content stored on the disc; however, you do own the physical medium itself. That is how game stores are allowed to sell you second hand games. They aren’t selling you the disc contents, they are selling you the disc. Regardless, readers, do your own research and don’t take the word of random people on Lemmy including myself.
