Yep that all sounds super douchey. 99% of people who know the United States and the American continents, will know exactly where you are talking about if you say America. Sorry that displeased you in all your eccentricities and fancy words, but thems the breaks.

  • Cool cool cool, guess who grew up in Texas around 100 ranches? You aren’t accounting for how many times / much hay can be harvested from an acre of land, especially when you are talking about bahaia. While it may cost you a little more, to transport it to northern states its not 100 acres per cow. If your grandfather was a rancher, he definitely isn’t taking his cues from one granddaughter, especially if that’s how he raised your parent. We are a omnivores. We can get everything we need from both plant and animals, but as far as full chain amino acids- proteins, it is far more efficient from animals. The sad thing is we import a lot of meat, oddly enough from countries that don’t have near the land mass, and more people per acre than we have here and less regulation on how said how the meat was raised, so tell me if it take 100 acres of land to raise 1 head of cattle is possible?

  • Reddit is being taken over by mods and redditors, that won’t only not read your comment if you disagree with them, but will report you instantly. I had been on reddit for like 9 years, and got a lifetime ban for being transphobic, which I’m not. I commented on a post that went along the lines of " We need more trans people in Government local, state, and national" My comment was literally, “We need the best people in these roles, and if they’re trans that’s just fine, but we shouldn’t be picking leaders based solely on their sexuality.” BAM’ banned for life due to hate speech and transphobia. On a comment on a political sub, that had like 30 upvotes.

It’s amazing you used standardized test stats, while I believe the test are part of the problem. When I was in school, you learned the subject, and the standardized test was a decent level. Now, all the subjects are should be called reading comprehension, because that’s how they teach. Teachers are held to teach their students how to pass the test. Extra school funds are tied to percentages based on test scores. So they pass out, and teach off of, worksheets that are mirrored off of these test. So they don’t teach science, hey teach you to answer the multiple choice questions after reading about science. Everytime my kids bring homework home i ask them if all of their work is like this, this being reading comprehension worksheets, and they say “pretty much”.
