It won’t. Normies just see their franchise like Assasins or any Tom Clancy’s and they buy. It does not matter to them what bullshit payment model it is. Look at Fifa games for example. Litearaly the same game year after year with the tiniest adjustments possible but they still break a sales record on a almost yearly basis.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/470748/favorite-book-genres-gender-usa/ Is the closest i found. But there it is only a 6% diffrence for self help. (Not sure if that is the correct category for the book)
Du sprichst mir aus der Seele.
That is on purpose. They want you to use the app.
Sure you can. But the evidence i see in my immediate vicinity is that informations go in through one ear and straight out through the other without holding on to anything if presented in in a none swearing or name calling manner. It hurts but it works.
Me, Germany, 20 years of no VPN = nothing ever happend Friend of me, also germany, downloads Minecraft once without VPN = 800€ cease and desist letter So yeah. Pretty much a gamble.
What about chrome is useless? What makes chrome so useless that a normie would want it to change? In the end both let you browse the internet just fine. from work i use Firefox and at home i had chrome for years. I did not recognise any diffrenses except ram usage and it beeing a Google product. I changed to firefox at home a few months back so it is the same at work and at home. Can’t say it feels any snapier or whatever. For a normie Privacy is no reason to change. They don’t care. Ram, they probably don’t even know what that is. You have to search for new extensions in the mozilla store if the same one you used does not exist there. That is the reason firefox will not dominate Chrome in my opinion. For a normie there is absolutely no reason to change and normies are the majority of people. Some anecdotal story. At work i installed for some colleges Adblockers because the said some of the ads where anoying and after i did in the following months one after another wanted me to deactivate it again because they could not figure out to visit some websites. As i offered them to show them how they could get around it they just denied. “that is to complicated for me.” So yeah. Normies do not care and even worse adblock blockers work.
I don’t deny that. However, forcing people to change by making things more expensive only harms these families. Of course, the ongoing climate situation is concerning, but in the short term, we also need to take care of those who are financially vulnerable. We can’t just let them go under.
No, they most definitely should not! Implementing such a measure unnecessarily increases the difficulty for low-income families. Instead, there should be support for the installation or a tax reduction for those who have one. Let’s focus on making it easier for people to adopt environmentally friendly practices without making things more expensive.
They already kinda do the resolution thing. Premium gets higher bitrate versions of the videos.
I could totally be wrong. That’s just something I read in a few news articles. could be a check that only triggers there that changes a few reg keys or whatever. Or it is bullshit and it works post initial setup. 🤷♂️
I don’t get why Linux users don’t understand that they are part of like a 1% bubble. 99% of people would not enjoy Linux. I’m a Pop Os user myself and seeing what I have to do sometimes to get simple everday things to work that work right out of the box in Windows and MacOs is rediculus. No normie would ever figure out what to do even when googling. Linux is an exclusive Pc enthusiast operating system. Even the beginner friendly distros are not “dump proof” enough for the regular person. There is no use in advocating it on every problem post from Windows or MacOs. You’re doing no one a favor with it.
As far as i understand it it doesn’t even check your location. It checks the Language & Region in your initial Pc Setup steps. So you have to reset your pc to do that… Until someone figures an alternativ way without resetting your pc i guess.
That’s what is even taught in business school in germany at least. First goal of every company is maximizing profits and to attach your whole thinking around it.
That comparison is missing a bit. That fellow student is not just asking you. He asks everyone and sure enough there are some willing to say yes. That is the problem. There are still enough such people so its worth for them. They don’t care about the no sayers. Who cares if you are anoyed if the next five people say yes? So no. They will never back off. Only when the numbers turn red. And then they probably will find an even worse system instead of improving.
with this price change they still make more money if they loose less than ~14.3% of their users. i think that’s actually plausible. never underestimate the laziness of people to change something they have become accustomed to.
My English learning process was me being a eight year old kid who wanted to play diablo. No clue about shit. Barely able to read in the first place and just going from one word which is similar to one in my native language to the next similar one. Like “ok, intelligence looks a lot like intelligenz. Dexterity makes my bow do more damage so it should be something like speed or whatever” so basically trial and error over the years. The pronunciation was accordingly. As an example, strength was “stren g t hö”. Not sure how I’m supposed to write what i said back then xD Still to this day from reading and such and not practicing enough speaking English some are way off.
