Seems to be a damn good week for successors. First Arzette and now this
Seems to be a damn good week for successors. First Arzette and now this
Is this “online gaming” the one where the term was hijacked by gambling companies, or actual video games?
That may be true, but it’s not a premium feature to paywall behind DLC. Either you have it or you don’t
Damn, obliterated
We don’t talk about Artifact
We have lyrics on the soundtrack, this is not a drill!
Thanks for understanding, most arguments I see on the internet only escalate further, and I appreciate the calm discussion and the compliments
Looking back on your post history, I do see that people are being too harsh on you. It sucks that people immediately jump to the worst possible interpretation.
I hope that you don’t get discouraged by these comments, and only look to the genuine discussions for ways of improvement
Whoa calm down, While I was a bit harsh, I definitely didn’t mean any hostilities you might have picked up from this.
Genre names are just names of the genres. They have no bearing on the actual quality of the games that they categorize. There are good games in poorly named genres and bad games in aptly named genres.
I was just sharing my thoughts on what the industry calls them and wondering what other people thought about them
Payday 3 seems to be abandoning most of the mechanics that 100% force loud like concealment so the horde shooter part is more likely to be the “plan B”
But of course public games will be public games, so unless you’re playing with friends expect that some people will either just suck at stealth or just “didn’t queue up razormind so that they could rob a bank quietly”
I haven’t ever seen a gaming community so happy about closable doors.
Jokes aside all the hands ons have lowered my weariness about Payday 3 quite a bit. It seems to be backing away from some of the RPG elements PD2 has slowly accrued over the years in favor of being a more tightly designed tactical horde shooter. It’ll be hard going back to only 8 heists for $50, but history’ll probably repeat itself and we’ll be back at 16 or so heists in a mega pack for ~$20
Still remember, no preorders.
Boomer shooter isn’t the worst genre name ever, in fact I think it fits the genre quite well. There are certainly a lot of things going boom in a typical boomer shooter, and the baby boomers are only one generation off of the “proper” generation, so it represents its age.
Certainly better than the -likes, do you guys really want the “doom-likes” term to resurface?
Not really a fan of extraction shooters, but the aesthetic looks cool
Same, though the base building is also one of the things that ties the procgen there together imo. Theres something just cool about being able to discover random player’s bases organically by exploring, even if it is rare to actually find em in the quintillions of planets
I haven’t ever thought of playing WOW, but glorbo looks like such a fun time
I envy WOW players.
