Perhaps the biggest fundamental problem with using AI like this - how can you know the programs it generates are truly clean-room replicas? Can you guarantee Anthropic never trained their AI on Adobe’s suite or any of Adobe’s code?
Also, if you’re desperate to cut Adobe out of your life, why not use the open source tools that already exist and aren’t at risk of being sued out of existence by Adobe

In principle I do agree with you - ER care should absolutely prioritise the sickest individuals first, to ensure the least loss of life.
But I can only reconcile that in the case where you are not actively being charged for the privilege of waiting in line.
When everybody in that room is being charged hundreds of dollars for the privilege of suffering in line, then that philosophy can kindly fuck off. See the people who started paying first.

So in essence the price that the market will bare for the cost of AI usage is significantly lower than what the big AI companies would like it to be (in order to pay back their ever growing debts), which means there is a possibility they might never achieve profitability on their own (without some external/governmental strong-arming)
ER triage is driven by risk of death or serious harm, not by level of suffering
In a system of free healthcare services, I would expect patients with more severe outcomes to be treated first…
Hell if they were kind enough not to bill for the privilege of sitting in a waiting room for hours of suffering, then I might also accept that…

The official client is not the only way to access F-Droid apps, but now you’ll have less reason to seek out an alternative.
For me that reason is Shizuku. Droidify supports that and gives me what Fdroid cannot, one click frictionless app installation. Until the day Fdroid can do that, I have no reason to go back.

The comfort-eating point you mentioned is why I stressed I’ve been there.
I used to have a really bad problem with overeating. Like to where I was classed as morbidly obese as a kid.
Which does add another difficult point I didn’t mention. The motivation.
You need that to push through, cause it will suck to start with - and without motivation you’re likely to go back to what comforts you, instead of forcing the change you want.
Again, I went from comfort eating to being able to being perfectly fine not eating for hours, and even being uncomfortable when full. It’s doable, but you have to fully want to do it.
I think it’s actually more appropriate to say that Europe is a lot more North than most people think based on its climate and such.
The only reason north west Europe’s climate isn’t more like Canada’s is because the Gulf Stream and AMOC drag heat up North from the Southern hemisphere.
