Mlem is basically Apollo for Lemmy. I’m enjoying Memmy too. Honestly the only value Reddit has is the user base. The diversity of apps and the lack of corporate ownership already make this space far more exciting than Reddit

I don’t think Reddit is going anywhere. It has too much market share. Everyone keeps predicting the death of Twitter and yet it’s still going despite letting go a large part of its workforce. I don’t see Reddit being as incompetently run in comparison
This is Microsoft’s playbook. It really is surprising it took them this long to start their financial weight around though. That said I hope regulators start standing up to these trillion dollar corporations. Start by blocking the Activision-blizzard acquisition
Definitely strange since it’s a Sony published game. I don’t get why Sony and Nintendo can’t get all their published games on their membership platforms day 1
Why not pay for 1 month of streaming and see what kind of latency you’re dealing with? With games like Killzone and Resistance I believe servers are down and there’s no longer online play. So I imagine you’re only interested in the campaigns?
Unfortunately the architecture of the PS3 is a mess and so the best experience to be had is going to be physical games on the hardware, but if you’re only interested in a few games I’m not sure if it’s worth it to get a PS3.
Resemblance to what? I don’t see anything linked
Don’t understand how people can still use Reddit and ignore all the ickiness.
It’s not quite that but if you’re on iOS check out Pixel Pals. It’s by the guy who did Apollo and it’s a little pet for your home screen that you can feed and play with!
Perhaps they meant it will contain the disc AND a code? But either way it’s hopefully a mistake
You really cannot take Microsoft at face value on any of this. They will say whatever it takes to make this acquisition happen. As to most the console wars. What does that really mean? They’re in 3rd place, sure. But do you need to be in 1st for it to be profitable?
There’s obviously a huge backlog of games. So if you’re a patient gamer then you could absolutely be happy with it for awhile. But the age of crossover games seems to be over as publishers are fully embracing PS5/SeriesX
I’m a Proton Mail customer. It’s them or Fast Mail in my opinion
