That works too, if you don’t use the DNS within RethinkDNS. At the moment, I subscribe to over 100 lists that mainly blocks ads.

Yepp. I have used the Wireshark servers from Mullvad VPN for at least 1 year in RethinkDNS now. Works flawlessly.
Horrific read!
Yet another reason why I use F-Droid and RethinkDNS with “Block newly installed apps by default” in the universal firewall rules enabled.
Only the absolute neccessary apps that I can’t live without (like my Swedish bank’s app) will be installed from Play Store.
I agree, but I don’t know how yet :( Need to read more about it. I love and prefer Docker in most cases, so I want to Dockerise my projects.
I have my own personal finance tracker, Keizai. I found mainly Firefly III as bloated and since I wanted a simple, straight-forward finance tracker, I created my own.
Please bare in mind that Keizai is not yet finished. The development is still on-going, but it’s a slow process. I have multiple projects in hand and with autism and other plans for a better, more healthier life, the development for all my projects tend to be slow.
And yes, you can self-host Keizai.
I download the videos I want to watch with yt-dlp. This applies to audio as well. I then add the videos to my Jellyfin server to watch them on the TV.
XMPP. Oh, wait, company based.
But XMPP would be the best option. Snikket is recommended for easy setup.
I bought stuff from GOG instead because I don’t want to buy a license of the games, I want to own them :)
Can’t remember exactly how many games I bought, but min. 5 ^^
Self-hosted XMPP using OMEMO included? OMEMO are based on Signal, hence my question.
I use EndeavourOS Xfce because it’s Arch with pacman and not Flathub or Snap. Plus, I love the simplicity and the performance boost you get with Xfce (even if it’s a small boost with a modern gaming PC).
I second EndeavourOS. It’s so good!
They force you to give them your phone number. No phone number = not allowed to use Signal. Plus, Signal uses servers from Big Tech (just search for it on reddit).
XMPP (mainly Snikket) is the best lightweight option.
Because Signal does not fully respect your privacy.
HopToDesk. https://hoptodesk.com
It’s a fork of RustDesk.
It is very important to mention that you mean end-to-end encryption. The data is stored encrypted when using cloud chat. Nothing (besides phone number what I know) is stored in plain text on Telegram’s servers.
I am not defending Telegram. I am just stating facts.
Negative votes incoming in 3… 2… 1…
2 very good reasons: privacy and Big Tech.
Indeed. Far the best camera for Android I’ve ever used. Kinda addicted to the timestamp/watermark/something, though, haha! Mighty good feature!
I use Open Camera and the quality is very good. Especially the night mode! What you see with your eyes in a dark room with the TV on, that’s what you will see in the photo. Not the same quality on the TV in the photo, of course, but very close.
How about Mumble? It’s free, open sourced, encrypted, and with temporary chats with the ability to share images with ease.
