I’m fully convinced that their core architecture is a disaster, and the foundations of the app had to be fully redone for this and many other features that other apps have had for years.

WhatsApp takes so long to implement basic features that all of its competitors has that I’m convinced that its codebase is a horror show and breaks every convention there is, and every features requires a full rewrite of a core part of the service.

This is heartbreaking to read. I’m done with LTT after this and I hope this leads to waves within the company.
