As a Californian currently travelling through Canada, the “F*ck Trudeau” stickers I commonly saw in Alberta made it feel eerily similar politically to certain parts of the U.S. I definitely can see why it’d be hard to gauge. It’s like the same dumbification cancer we have here is being spread there in Alberta as well.
With that being said however, I still think you guys are a lot better off as a whole than we are in the states as far as slipping into christofascist dictatorship. Ugh.

There are low profile hex heads that exist for that same purpose though. Pretty much no need nowadays for slotted heads, except at very small scale.
Yeah, I’ve had hex strip before as well. It’s always been on the smaller sizes for me though at least. Like sub M3 or 1/8" ish. And of course, cheap hex keys are just asking for it at those sizes. On the other hand, I’ve definitely never had a torx head strip out on me.

I’m seeing a lot of people here claiming that the Philips head was originally designed to cam out/strip to prevent a transfer of force sufficient to twist the head off. I read that the thing about them being designed to strip to prevent worse failure is just a myth. Or at least they weren’t originally designed to. It said that the original patent never contained any feature for that. Wouldn’t surprise me though if modern companies do use screws designed to strip to prevent disassembly/repair.
I’d assume adequate clothing means clothing that fits properly, and is appropriate for the climate and weather.
Sometimes I see homeless people wearing shoes that look way to big for them and I’m guessing it’s because that was the closest they could find that fit on their feet so they just had to go with that. It’s really not adequate though because it could be a tripping hazard.
