I think you’re both right, but from a practical perspective it does little good to berate these people after they show remorse.

If things ever get ‘painful’ enough for me, you can believe I’m going to start channeling that pain towards the ruling class that put me in that position.
Good thing is they always have kids so we never have to worry about a shortage of targets.
There are dark days ahead. If history has shown us anything, it’s that the ruling class only loses its power when workers bust out the guillotines.
How come they don’t just use VLC?
Meh. Congresspeople always pretend to be upset about something to posture for their base.
Nvidia user here. The criticism of Nvidia support on Linux is always blown way out of proportion by AMD fanboys.
The only issue I ever have is needing to prepend prime-run
to each application I want to launch with the dedicated GPU.
I’ve had significantly worse problems with AMD drivers, so much so that it really opened my eyes to how stable things were on the green team.
I’m not saying you should get one over the other, but you shouldn’t let fanboys dictate your decision. They will try to do so without admitting they’re fanboys, so we have admit it for them.
I highly recommend getting a gaming laptop. You can buy a 4070 lenovo laptop at Walmart for $1k (at least in the US.)
Otherwise, check out https://old.reddit.com/r/LaptopDeals/ until you find something that fits your needs and budget. (sorry for linking to the other site)
You should use bluetooth controllers instead of ones that take a dongle simply because the dongle is unnecessary. Playstation controllers work well, but they’re expensive and I haven’t been able to find a 3rd party variant that works properly.
I also recommend getting a wireless keyboard + mouse combo.
metallica are honestly a bunch of babies.
Yeah. She doesn’t see the value in getting entertainment for free while there are starving children in the world.
She’s only interested in getting brownie points from other consumerists.
Might be a good idea to pirate and then contact the artists about setting up donation channels.
Publishers are obsolete.
Absolutely.
Piracy is a tool to fight back against the ruling class and help reduce the disparity in wealth.
That’s why useful idiots have been conditioned to hate it or only use it for ‘privacy’ purposes.
670 is still better than nothing.
Hopefully it can find its way to someone else’s home on the cheap and still give them plenty of years of fun.
I’m using Wayland right now, but tentatively.
Right now there’s an issue in WoW where sometimes when I move my mouse and left-click, the camera jumps to a different position, usually trying to look up.
Only happens on Wayland and it’s fixed temporarily by switching between windowed and fullscreen mode. The problem comes back sometimes when alt-tabbing and refocusing the game.
There was a bug in KDE recently where some menus weren’t properly appearing on Wayland, but that seems to have been fixed after my latest update.
Yeah, but at least 4chan supports freedom of speech.
I’ve thought about this at length and the conclusion I’ve reached is that people tend to lose ‘authority’ when they admit they’re wrong on a subject.
Essentially, once you’ve believed something that was incorrect, your peers will be more skeptical of your beliefs in the future and they can always point back to “remember when you were wrong about x?”
The stronger you’ve held this incorrect belief, the harder it is to admit you were wrong.
If they never admit they were wrong, though, then they never have to deal with humiliation.

Lol.
I keep talking to people who didn’t vote and they keep saying it’s because neither candidate represents their interests.
Maybe we should be ‘targeting’ the establishment simps that keep nominating establishment candidates?
Trump only won because Bernie lost, for example. How come we don’t blame the people who nominated hillary clinton?
Try to think practically instead of just with emotion.
I will wager that some people from some nations asked him to stop helping based solely on the fact that we can’t get millions of people to reliably agree on anything.
Lol, what? Do people really care about the ‘speed’ of their video player in 2025?
