Apple love to come in MANY years late, with older technology (see OLED for example). Once it’s cheap.
And claim REVOLUTIONARY!

Celeste. Are you here? In a future search maybe?
Thanks for the reply. It does not show up in lsusb as far as I can tell. Unplugging and pluging back in shows no difference in output. I will have to maybe test it in another machine. I’ll ask about. Thanks for your time
Thanks for your answer. It is built in, but that does not exist in my file system.
Thanks for the answer. No, nothing in Gparted, or Disks. Nothing in lsusb either.
I’ve heard that, yes. There is a moment of grogginess for me. Maybe 10 to 15 minutes. But that leaves, and the rest of the day is like a fresh day.
Nana nap. Every afternoon if I can. Just a half hour power nap, and the difference it makes is phenomenal.
I can stay sharp all afternoon, and right up to bed time, with just a very fast nap in the afternoon. I’m all for it.
By choice. Loving it. Touring Australia for the last 2 years. Working from phone and laptop as I go.
Straight male here. This response is excellent.
Why bots? Maybe people are genuinely interested in this software.
This is interesting. I have the same laptop.
I had this exact issue in popos on it.
I changed a setting in the bios (can’t recall exactly now), and that did nothing.
Recently I moved to fedora 41, and the problem disappeared.
So I suspect it’s a bios setting.
Peak low with Snap.
That’s what made me move onto other distros.
No problem. Completely understand
Did your solution stay internal, or has it been shared? Be keen to see.
Yup. Put Linux on my old macbook pro.
Breathed a new lease of life into it, when Apple stopped supporting it. Got another 4 + years of good computing out of it, before I accidentally left it at a carpark and lost it.
Linux on that mac was excellent. I prefer the gnome UI to mac and Windows, so was happy.
About 20 years roughly. My mate had one for his TV a long time ago.
Apple are brave that way. I mean, they introduced oled maybe 15 years later in a revolutionary media launch. Amazing.
When the software ecosystem gets too old, slap Linux on it for a fresh lease of life. Did that with my old macbook pro back in the day. Got years more out of it.
Megacorps gonna megacorp
17 years later. Old technology. Comes to Apple. That’s classic Apple. But still, great to have another tech behemoth weigh in finally.
