Yes. You don’t actually get to explore other cultures, you just get a bastardized, commodified version of it. The commodification of cultures for global dissemination is destroying unique cultures around the globe. It’s a massive humanitarian crisis, but it gets a free pass in the eyes of the western public because they get to eat tasty food and make pithy comments online directed towards people they hate. Xenophilia is a cancer.

I’ve got news for you: Many people from other places don’t particularly like xenophiliacs treating them like zoo animals.

I’m not pretending that the LLMs we get aren’t terrible. Just wondering if there aren’t better AI being used by others more quietly.

What are the odds that all these stories about LLMs being terrible, and the crappy publicly available ones, are all just to convince us that they suck so nobody notices when actually good AI gets used?

Also, the three spacial dimensions are the x, y and z axis. Time is the fourth dimension of Einstein’s spacetime, which he did openly admit wasn’t quite the right way of looking at it anyways, but rather it was just the best answer he could come up with.

I mean. You aren’t wrong. Einstein went to his grave haunted by the notion that his explanation was missing something important, and nobody yet has been able to figure out what.

The simplest way I can explain it is that everything is always moving at the exact same speed, divided up between the three spacial dimensions and the time dimension. Light does not move through the time dimension at all, and therefore is always moving at full speed through the three spacial dimensions: ie. speed of light.

I thoroughly enjoy working. Doing work I hate to enrich people I don’t care about as the wealthy turn society into a high tech prison camp? Not so much.
