“Let me be very clear” is such a Bernie-ism… even unattributed, it’s so easy to tell that it’s him.
Truly a global loss that he was never given a fair chance to challenge for the Presidency.

We have a cavoodle, basically a smaller version of this breed.
He’s not aggressive, basically a big wuss-bag, but he gets along with our 2yo like a house on fire!
My biggest issue with the breed is that they seem to hhave no sense of self-preservation - picking fights with much larger, more serious dogs (German Shepherds, Border Collies etc.), and are one of the only breeds I have ever encountered that aren’t primarily motivated by food… ours in particular is a ridiculously fussy eater.
Our in-house joke about him is that he’s not a dog at all, but a sentient teddy bear.
Slight correction; you’re referring to Super Mario Bros. (1985).
The plain ol’ Mario Bros. (1983) was the arcade platformer about bunking mobs coming out of pipes:
Unrelated, but what’s the source show for this meme?
At least once…
…the brown slop on the left could easily be a two’fer!
I literally started downloading the Bazzite installer on my PC just before heading out to work - will be installing it on a spare NVME and seeing how it goes tonight hopefully!
Bazzite does have a Nvidia-specific build, I’ll report back in a day or two how I go with my 3090.
Until Samsung (in particular) actually deliver on their stated promise, I’ll remain skeptical.
Especially as less than a year ago iFixIt had to terminate their relationship/agreement because Samsung failed to deliver on their promises to aid in end-user repairs.
For all their myriad of flaws, Apple at least has a proven track record of providing long term security and feature updates.
You know what really grinds my gears?
Region-specific bonus tracks that are literally not available on any streaming service in an official capacity; the only place I can find them are on YouTube - where they could get DMCA’ed at a moment’s notice…
Two tracks off the top of my head like this are:
Would you happen to know whether this is something that a UserAgent spoofer would suffice to get around?
Buying direct also gives those companies a higher profit margin; meaning they have the opportunity to expand, or better pay their employees (whether or not they do, is a seperate matter).
At the moment I’m 50/50 between switching over to Linux full-time, or full booting Windows 10 LTSC.
But having had to use it for work, I am adamant in saying that Windows 11 will never touch my home system drive.
What’s the easiest/best way to start with UseNet? I’ve wanted to give it a try for the longest time - but it just feels like such a daunting task to try and figure out…
The average US household spent over $500/yr on streaming services in 2024, which was actually down YOY!
At that sort of expense, you would be much better served buying (or if you’re technically minded - building) a NAS at home and then just…
… yaaar! 🏴☠️
That way, you keep access to the media without having to worry about licenses expiring or the internet going out.
A long time ago, I had a pair of Puma shoes that had a similar look to F1 driving shoes, and they were awesome due to their light weight and thin soles - ever since then I’ve a convert to that style of shoe.
Maybe consider the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66? It’s a timeless design with plenty of colorways, so you should be able to get one that suits your tastes. They are also available in mid-runner form in case you want more of a boot fit (padded ankle).
In the (now seemingly unlikely) event that Trump and his ilk lose their grip on power, people need to move swiftly to curtail Musk’s power over the Oval Office; to the point that stripping him of his wealth and imprisoning him may honestly be the only way left to save the Union at this point.
Sure there are plenty other billionaires who may be eyeing up his current position, but they would surely think twice if the likelihood was they too would end up impoverished and incarcerated.
True, but it’s only a matter of time before it bites those people in the ass. Whether or not they’re smart enough to understand the cause (Trump/Musk chaos) or not - they’re going to suffer.
The best you can hope for this cohort is that they’re disenfranchised enough by the mid-terms to sit out the election and allow for a massive shift in the House and Senate… but given how spineless and feckless the Dems have acted over the past four years - I’m not holding out a”much hope.
Glass is also quite heavy, increasing logistics costs for transport - but in an ideal world where everything runs off renewable energy sources and stupid people didn’t ruin things for the rest of us - glass would indeed be the ideal medium.
I am aware; but when the options are an entirely plastic container (clear, and readily able to oxidise and leech microplastics when exposed to light over long periods of time) versus a lined metal can (which is at least opaque) - cans are remain the lesser of two evils.
I agree with the overall sentiment; but there is no way in hell that canned water is worse than plastic bottles.
Aluminium is infinitely more/easily recyclable than plastic, and has a much lower negative impact on the environment.
But to reiterate, filling up your own bottle from the tap is preferred - but if you have to buy water in a container: can > bottle
I’m old enough to remember when S2 was the common way to draw a heart…
…which ironically is also less than three characters!
