A few weeks into a new job someone reported me for being a dick to them. Management was not happy with me until I proved I had never interacted with this person. Turns out it was just a dumb asshole playing some kind of weird office politics.

Hardware support is still an issue. I recently tried to use Linux on my laptop, it didn’t work out primarily because not all of the hardware was supported. I thought it was when I bought the laptop but the documentation of what actually works and doesn’t work isn’t clear or accurate so I ended up with a laptop that can technically run Linux but has various hardware in it will not function and likely never will.

It seems like its still a mess. I can’t even get past compiling shaders, please wait…

That’s good to hear, I hope you’re able to keep it up. I’m sure you’ve heard this before but just in case, if you haven’t you should really consider also running a long term buy and hold portfolio. Fund that Roth IRA every year if you can. It’s a whole lot easier than active trading so it really shouldn’t take up much time and when you’re an old person you will be glad you’ve got that pile stashed away.

If you’re trading stocks based off Reddit info you should really know WTF you are doing and have additional sources of info to back up any decisions you are making because you are playing a very dangerous game. Unless you’ve already been investing for years and have a sizeable portfolio I would encourage you to reconsider the path you are on and build up some capital and knowledge before attempting any kind of active trading.

They definitely use “the most secure” in their marketing, but I think they do it in a way where it is only in reference to previous consumer versions of Windows if you actually parse out what is being said.

I was in a Goodwill when an insane person took over the stores PA system and started saying crazy shit. Wages have outpaced inflation recently. Things have generally been heading in the right direction since the pandemic but it came too late and the masses are mostly ignorant or misinformed so the data is irrelevant to them. Its about how people feel as you point out, there’s not a rational argument against feelings, people feel how they feel. One side has become very good at taping into those feelings, the other side is talking about data and no one gives a shit unless the data validates what they feel.

Air America? It was a lefty talk radio network about 20 years ago that was an attempt to build a parallel media infrastructure that could compete with the monsters on AM radio. Obviously the money ran out so it didn’t last.
