Why are you muddying the waters by talking about renting? Plenty of people rent houses, but you’re trying to inflate the size of the charging problem by lumping all renters together. Even then, a simple search will show only 30% of the US population lives in rental housing. And only about 10% live in apartments. Your gut feelings on this are just wrong.
