You voted for all of it. Everyone told you about Project 2025.

    You chose not to listen

If they truly feel that they got something different than they voted for, they should remember that they were told a lot of this would happen by one side and told it wouldn’t by the other.

The next time they vote they should remember that and consider more than simply “left bad, right good”. But we all know they won’t. They will just say “the last guys were bad Republicans, this new group are good republicans” and vote the same way again.

I’ve long thought that conservatives are the party of “me”. They appeal to selfish desires which is why they are successful. It’s like playing the lottery. I didn’t win this time but I might next time so I’ll keep playing.

Not by rotw standards no. But it’s all relative. In the USA Democrats stand to the left of the repuglicans.

I read somewhere that the impulse to vote more conservative came from the emotions of digust/revulsion & that polls could be skewed more progressive by simply cleaning up the polling place. Cant remember the reference off the top of my head.

There were two things Donald didn’t actively lie about in the campaign:

    • His immigration crackdown.
    • Letting RFK gut our health infrastructure.

So this person did actively vote for those two things. The rest is debatable.

People who voted for this shit, knowing full well who Trump was and what he did, lost the right to open their trap about the consequences the minute they cast their ballots.

    Fuck you funny man.

Advertising lies to us all the time. Trump is a master of advertising. It’s why he’s been president twice. We’ve all fallen for scams because of advertising. It’s why people still think that Democrats want universal healthcare and communism.

We need to forgive our comrades for falling for advertising and welcome them to the revolution. Getting mad at them and alienating them will prevent the revolution. All working class people are allies who don’t know it yet.

I can’t understand how any of these idiots expected anything different from Trump. How could they possibly not see all of this coming, a mile away?

These people are completely incapable of reading subtext.

Or text for that matter. They only saw the headline ”Make America Great Again” and went for it.

Saying that he will end war while also praising Putin and Bibi.

Or that ” enemies from within” means people who disagree with him.

Or when he says he understands tariffs more than anyone else, he probably don’t.

They DID see it coming, but they thought they were part of the in-group that wouldn’t be affected. A disturbingly large number of us Americans are A-OK with fascism because they think they’ll reap the benefits with none of the downside. We love punishment when it happens to The Other.

Comedian Andrew Schulz voted for President Donald Trump — but he’s fed up with the president now after months of broken promises, Fox News reported on Thursday.

On the “Flagrant” podcast this week, Schulz explained that the major issues that caused him to break with Trump are the passage of his “big, beautiful bill” on tax cuts that explodes the national debt, his ongoing funding of wars, and his administration’s announcement that there was no “client list” for sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

“Everything he campaigned on, I believe he wanted to do, and now he’s doing the exact opposite thing of every single f—ing thing,” said Schulz.

“There’ll be people, they’ll DM and say, ‘You see what you’re boy’s doing? You voted for this.’ I’m like, ‘I voted for none of this!’” said Schulz. “He’s doing the exact opposite of everything I’ve voted for! I want him to stop the wars, he’s funding them. I want him to shrink spending, reduce the budget, he’s increasing it. It’s like everything that he said he’s going to do — except sending immigrants back, and now he’s even flip-flopped on that — which I kind’ve like.”

Schulz is not the only pro-MAGA comedian who is now having second thoughts.

Last month, Dave Smith, a libertarian comic, told Breaking Points’ Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti that he no longer supports Trump, and in fact wants him impeached, because of his mismanagement of peace talks with Iran.

“Listen man, I supported him this last year. I apologize for doing so. It was a bad calculation. At the time, it seemed like the right one. But, he should be impeached and removed for this one,” said Smith. “Of course, the Congress will never do it because they’re all a bunch of, you know, corrupt hacks.”

How in the fuck did it seem “like the right calculation”? How unutterably fucking stupid do you have to be to think there was a calculation involved? It was entirely fucking obvious where this was going to end up.

Americans are the fucking stupidest examples of humanity that have ever disgraced this planet.

The calculation was “destroy America now” or “postpone the choice for four more years”.

Some people just need that instant gratification because they have the attention span of a coconut.

He’s not wrong, but dude, you voted for him and now you expect congress to fix your vote. Way to pass the buck.
