Okay so you’re either a bot or so chronically online I don’t have words.
You joined less than 2 months ago and have over 2.3k comments?
At this point I hope you’re a bot because the alternative is wild. And sure Lemmy is a far better space to spend online time in than reddit or facebook, but like… Damn.
All this to say: if you are a real person, your comment here is textbook definition of separated from reality and stuck in dopamine loops online.
Only when those men subscribe to and endorse a shitty worldview that causes pain to people around them. Men suffering because they’re not getting the stupid advantage that have been historically granted to them but not others? Hilarious. Men suffering because society hasn’t figured out a good blueprint for men to feel good in a positive and healthy way? Less hilarious

Historically, the vast, vast majority of men, and of women, haven’t been granted any sort of advantage. Almost everyone was just as deeply in the shit as everyone else.
Idk, I try real hard to remind others that Tanner, the Night Shift manager at the Circle K, is NOT the reason women are oppressed, and making him feel like he’s the reason does nothing to support our equality cause.
We genuinely do have to support men having space to air their issues with society/the world, and let them know that they’re heard/understood.
The patriarchy hurts everyone, including the dude who is told to swallow his feelings/frustrations and he is only allowed to be interested in sex/woodworking/hunting to be a “real man” and “accepted” by his bros.
So like, maybe we could not laugh at men’s struggles and still support ladies?
I’m not saying he deserves to suffer; I’m saying it’s funny when he does.
I take their issues seriously. As seriously as I take anything. I just also find their pain funny.
The patriarchy does hurt everyone, and its even funnier when it hurts men! The patriarchy is like cops: it can’t do good things, but it can do funny things. One could even say the intrinsic humor in mens’ suffering is a privilege in the traditionally male dominated field of slapstick.
I can help you up even if I laugh when you fall. I might, even! If it was bad enough for you to not hit on me after!
I keep seeing people acting like humor is a moral hierarchal and value judgment, and that just makes me think you’re deeply unfun unfunny and vile fucking people I sincerely hope to never meet.
I’ve seen those threads here
It’s only matter of time before this thread becomes one
Edit: it’s a burden, always being right and sexy 24/7
I’ve noticed those comments seem to arrive at threads in force during the US 11am-11pm period.
Probably coincidence.
Men suffering is objectively funny, though.
Edit: lol

I would not hold this opinion if I didn’t go outside.

Nope, still funny. Not as morally satisfying, but still funny.
So you’re just a bad person then
I think that’s a very oversimplified description, but I don’t mind being seen as that.

“Jews suffering is objectively funny, though.” <= This is what you sound like.
Really? Everything I don’t like is antisemitism?
You scolding me is antisemitism. You’re basically Hitler.
You swung and missed on the point so hard, you hit yourself with the bat.
Yeah I’m not gonna listen to Hitler.
But somehow you rather be the Hitler of men’s suffering.
Are my paintings that bad? Shit. I’ll have to I’ll have to kill m-well played.
